This campaign started in May 2020 and ran for eight months. We built a total of 121 links targeting three keywords. For example, for the keyword in Fig2.0 above, we built a total of 44 links. As a result, the keyword ranked in the top 10 in just over two months, ending at position three.

In cases where the budget is limited, targeting a few keywords and having those rank as high as possible instead of spreading the budget thinly over more keywords is essential.

Link building should continue even after you rank in the top 10 of the SERP. Not doing so will ultimately lead to the competition taking the spot.

Traffic is a lagging indicator of link-building activities. This is why it takes time to see results at the beginning of a campaign, and you will continue to see results after the campaign ends. For example Fig4.0, there was a spike in traffic from Nov 2022 when the campaign ended a few months before.
